Daniel Kemp AUSTRALIA DAY WEEKEND 2013 Hi Guys, Just wanted to say a big Thank You for the way you handled the very wet Australia Day weekend. Obviously the Army training came in handy but you went above and beyond to ensure no one had any reason to feel unloved. I personally would have loved to be rained in for another couple of days but you can't have everything. Only one thing that I think would have made a difference was that when it was deemed that it was going to be ok to take caravans - everyone with trailers and caravans should have been notified. We spent a couple of hours changing things around to leave the van there only to then see a couple of vans drive out. But that is the only thing. We have made a small donation toward the costs you would have incurred - I didn't want to say anything but don't want you wasting time trying to balance your books for nothing. Once again Thanks - we'll be back - and I think we've got you some business with all the facebook posts our group put up over the weekend! Even tho we were in our caravan, heaps better off than a lot, just the way you handled everything for others, and us in the end, was just awesome - never experienced that kind of hospitality and kindness. Keep up the great work! Allan Richardson We picked up our little camper last weekend and chose Murphy's Creek as our first outing. An easy drive from Brisbane with a quick stop off at the big Orange for some supercheap fruit and veg, access to our powered site was super easy for this novice and we were settled into the most amazing view in no time at all.
Overlooking the creek and an easy walk to the spotless amenities our site was perfect for our group of three vans/campers. Just wanted to say thanks for a fab 24 hours (wish we could have stayed longer!) this weekend. You all made us feel so welcome and like locals! Just want to say how much we enjoyed our stay at the Murphy’s Creek Escape. It’s one of those special places you don’t want to tell anyone about, just want to keep it to yourself. Seriously though, we will surely promote your fantastic park and look forward to returning soon. Regards Doug and Christine Allen-Ankins (Wolston Nomads) We started out on our holiday with the four kids; 2 daughters and 2 sons, one of which was a moody 17 yr old daughter who did not want to be with us at all (especially in a tent), and a 12 yr old son who kept telling us how "gay" this was going to be. Hubby had to work so only came to set up, and then pack up but otherwise deserted, leaving me with the kids. The camp activities ended up being a hit, especially with the 9 yr old son. Both boys loved the water and the beach and exploring in the boulders. We brought along the boys bikes and they joined the newly formed camp "bikie" gang. But unbelievably all four kids, including the moody teen and Mr "gay" himself thoroughly enjoyed the cupcake decorating! So much so that they backed up the next day to do it all again! (I think we even got half a smile from the moody teen.) The whole camp ground had a real family feel - everyone was very friendly and obliging. And how nice was it at the end of the day to sit with a glass of wine and watch all those birds - beautiful. Thanks Peter and Lisa and Holly, Queens Birthday 2012 Just wanted to thank you and your staff for a fantastic camping experience over the long weekend. Our Social Group all had a great time and everyone was impressed on how you run your grounds and all the activities that you organise for these long weekends. Well my weekend stay at your ‘escape’ is over and thought that I would just drop a line to say how much I enjoyed the experience. Easter 2012 I wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank-you. We had a great time at Murphy's Creek Escape over Easter. We were really impressed at the effort you put in to provide activities and to keep things operating smoothly with such a large number of campers. We have done a lot of camping and dragged the kids to a lot of places and I don't think we have ever met such hard working and accommodating hosts. Narelle Coutts We would like to thank and congratulate you on the fabulous time we had camping at MCE for Easter 2012. The amount of work you have put into the campgrounds and facilities has made it a first class camping area. I have visited the park prior to your ownership, and can appreciate the amount of work you have done. Your staff were all VERY courteous and diligent in their jobs. We were particularly impressed with the cleanliness of the toilet blocks, and organisation of the activities. Lisa should be commended for the work she has done over Easter given the nature of her injury, it surely would not have been easy! My 3 boys (4,7 and 12) have all raved on the way home about the campsite, and want to know when we can come back. The four year old (Angus) particularly liked Holly … lol. As an aside (and as a way to assist in providing constructive feedback) I would suggest possibly considering limiting the generator usage of campers to a few hours in the middle of the day, we found people seem to flout the sun-up to sun-down rule, by firing it up at first light and shutting it down well after dark. After all it is nice to enjoy the peace and quiet of the bush. Having said that, that is the only issue we discovered over the long weekend. Again I would like to commend you all on the fantastic weekend. We will DEFINITELY be back, and I WILL be spreading the word about the park. HAPPY EASTER TO YOU ALL! Thanks for the most awesome time at Murphy's Creek Escape for the Australia Day Weekend 2012. The band on the beach and the fun and games organised was the perfect way to spend Australia Day. Kai was saying all the way home "turn around Dad" and Madison can't stop talking about the flying fox and ropes course (thanks Peter for your help with Maddy on the course - she really needed your support and guidance) and if Cody could talk, he would be saying how much fun he had!!. We have already started planning our return trip and can't wait to catch up with you again for more fun.

Queens Birthday Weekend 2011 Hi Peter & Lisa, Labour Day Weekend2011 Just a quick note to thank you for the five relaxing days in a wonderful setting over the Labour Day weekend. We really enjoyed sitting at our fire every night and seeing all the other camp fires throughout the park. We stayed at Murphy's Creek Escape over the Labour Day long weekend and we really enjoyed the experience. The friendly staff went out of their way to make sure everyone was happy. They organised activities for the adults and the children that you could chose to join or you could just sit back and take in the beautiful relaxing surrounds of the park. It was great to have our own fireplace to sit by each night on our spacious site. They have put a lot of work into the landscaping after the awful floods... it now looks stunning! It's just nice to see something good come out of such a devastating natural disaster! Thank you for a great weekend! Will definitely be back! Jodie and Cameron, Brisbane.
Easter ANZAC 2011 We would like to say a big thank you to Peter, Lisa, Holly for making our 1st stay at Murphy’s simply unforgettable. We can’t stop talking about our weekend and how wonderful the entire experience was. We have already re-booked for Easter 2012, if we don’t visit before that of course! Our friends are also coming with us as we said it is our favourite place to camp again, and again. We sent you a pic of some bush bashing the boys did. Our first trip to Murphy's Creek Escape and what a pleasant surprise. Our host's, Peter & Lisa Souter are creating a special place here. So early in its development and is already finding itself in demand as Easter proved with all camp sites taken. Our group including six vans and a tent on powered sites and a camper on a remote site stayed six nights and couldn't fault it, with amenities always clean, the coin operated showers worked well and all the claims made in their web site were true. Peter and Lisa's enthusiasm and easy going style will make this a enjoyable experience for all visitors. We wish them success and look forward to visiting again soon. Thanks from the Mason group
Thank you for an absolutely wonderful weekend staying at the Heights. The children and us reminisced during the drive home and decided the weekend was the best camping expedition by far. March 2010 Thank you so much for a great weekend. My mum and her partner have not stopped talking about it. The place was so well maintained and picturesque. An excellent Easter break. Activities for children were great. Thankyou for a good time. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. It's been 8 years since we last went camping and we loved every minute of it. The kids loved catching yabby's and swimming in the water hole, I loved bush walking and my husband loved maintaing his open fire. See you next year. John and Angelique Quinn. We added to our weekend adventure by joining the "Sunset Tour" that took us over 4WD tracks to a magnificent spot where we ate tasty canapés and watched the sun sink behind the mountains. The colour of the cliffs changing colour in unison with the blues, oranges and pinks of the sunset sky, just added to the beauty of the landscape. Indeed we hold very fond memories of our night excursion. We'll certainly be back and look forward to our next adventure. Bernie and Trisha O'Doherty

Thank you for sharing your wonderful site with us last week. This was the first time we have used our camper trailer & we could not have picked a better place. We chose to visit midweek for the quiet, however I think it wouldn't have mattered when we came as the site is so well organised & you were so helpful. The creek side site was brilliant & the attached photo says it all for us.Even though it is close to home you will see us there again. Ally & Ray Hey guys, thank you so much. We have camped in a alot of spots, but you guys have it all. We have camped on the creek front and also on a powered site. We love the atmosphere & amenities; hot showers, toilets, well maintained, very clean, pet friendly and very easy going. This has become our home away from home. You will be seeing alot more of us. As our first stay in a bush camp setting, we were very impressed with how well set out and maintained everything was. Our children loved exploring the trails, tending the fire and sharing some quality time with each other and our (often left behind) puppy! We were made to feel welcome and at home on arrival, ensuring that we will definitely return, although next time it will be with friends in tow. We can't thank you enough or recommend your escape highly enough. Many thanks for letting us spend 2 nights of wonderful camping experienced at Murphy's Creek Escape. We have been camping at Murphys (Creek Escape), for the past two years and have seen it grow and develop. The floods of 2011 have only made the place into a bigger and better place to be. We love the friendly welcome you recieve every visit, and the family atmosphere that Murphys offers. The kids create their own fun playing in the creek, which makes it a very relaxing time for everyone. We always look forward to our next visit and to see what Pete and Lisa have in store for us, as it changes with the holidays and seasons. 
in the bush, our Easter holiday at Murphy's Creek had it all. We could do as little as we wanted or join in with all the family activities that our hosts had planned for all ages.
