Murphys Creek Arts Centre

Galleries and workshops in a bushland setting. See artwork of outstanding artists featuring watercolour painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, photoshop, books and cards in four gallery buildings.

The gallery recently opened a new studio building which provides excellent class facilities and an additional exhibition area leading to a sculpture trail.

The Cobb & Co. Museum

Cobb + Co Museum, a campus of the Queensland Museum is home to the National Carriage Collection, Australia's finest collection of horse-drawn vehicles. As well as Cobb & Co. coaches, the carriage collection has examples of a vast range of vehicles from the horse-drawn era, from farm wagons, hawkers barrows, delivery carts and buggies to an elegant landau; the Rolls Royce of carriages.

Museum of Australian Army Flying

Experience the adventure and romance of our pioneer military aviators and marvel at their skill and courage. Items of memorabilia date back to 1912, when Australian Army Aviation was then known as the Australian Flying Corps  (AFC).

Location

Drive west from Toowoomba, through Oakey, to the Aviation Centre. Then follow signs to the Museum. Situated about 4 km from Oakey.

Jondaryan Woolsheds

Jondaryan Woolshed is the centrepiece of Jondaryan Woolshed Historical Museum and Park that was established in 1975 to present the history of Jondaryan Station and its role in the development of pastoralism on the Darling Downs.

Located in the heart of the Darling Downs, Jondaryan Woolshed is of great historical interest. Easily accessible on a day trip from all parts of south-east Queensland, Jondaryan Woolshed is of particular interest to people fascinated by our rural heritage.

The attraction features historic buildings, machinery, equipment and collections, which have been obtained and restored over the past 25 years.

Where are we?

Jondaryan Woolshed is located on the Darling Downs, 3 kms south of the Warrego Highway at Jondaryan, 45 kilometres west of Toowoomba over the Great Dividing Range. It is only two and a half hours drive from Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, Australia. Brisbane has a major international airport.

We are open 7 Days a week from 10am to 4pm. Tea and damper only available Wednesday - Sunday .

 

Jondaryan Woolsheds

Spring Bluff - Historical Railway Station

Spring Bluff is a beautiful valley tucked in the ranges north of Toowoomba and best known for its picturesque Railway Station.

Spring Bluff Railway Station is a favourite day trip for visitors and locals alike. Its gardens are magnificent during Spring and Summer and steam train rides are a feature of September during Toowoomba's Carnival of Flowers. The Railway Station features a coffee shop in the station master's cottage.

It's worth visiting Spring Bluff just for the interesting drive down the range off the New England Highway through to Murphy's Creek. The road meanders through lush bushland, following the path of the creek.
