Murphys Creek Escape offers one of the most innovative outdoor education and adventure programs in Queensland. Our purpose is ‘Leadership Development’ and our vision is to challenge young Australians to be more responsible and independent. We provide a fun learning environment where students develop responsibility, group awareness, team work and confidence.
School Camps
Our aims and objectives
Our objectives at Murphy’s Creek Escape revolve around our 3 guiding principles:
• To strip back the cotton wool
• To build resilience
• To enhance understanding of decision and consequence
Our camps aim to:
• Assist students to work effectively as part of a team
• Develop individual leadership skills and decision-making capabilities
• Increase confidence and self esteem
• Improve self-reflection skills
• Motivate and have fun.
We also specialise in preparing Year 5 students for leading the school the following year and preparing year 6 students for the challenges of attending high school. This is done through our focus on decision and consequence, a large reliance on student autonomy throughout our programs and a continued focus on responsibility for self and others.
