Murpyh's Creek Escape Camping

The Region

Murphy’s Creek EscapeΒ is located in the Upper Lockyer Valley of Queensland. Situated 90-minutes from Brisbane and 30-minutes from the regional hub of Toowoomba, the campground is easy to reach and simple to find.

Situated alongside more than 100,000 acres of national park, this area is brimming with natural beauty. The landscape is home to a diverse range of animal species, including the brush-tailed rock-wallaby and black-breasted buttonquail.

As you explore the region, you’ll be treated to the backing track of birds chirping, trees swaying and the breeze whistling.

In between the dense greenery, you’ll also find sandstone gorges, ancient eucalypt trees and flowing creeks. It’s just like a scene from a nature documentary, only in real life!

The Campsites

When Murphy’s Creek Estate first opened its doors, it was a vast and wild terrain of native flora. In the years since then, we’ve directed every effort towards ensuring we meet the needs of every camper, which includes offering a range of different campsites. These diverse options are designed to suit every budget and need. Some of our most popular options include:

Powered Sites:

Our powered sites are always a crowd favourite!Β  Generously sized and overlooking the Murphy’s Creek or upon the Canyon Top, our powered sites are a great option for anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, without compromising on the little luxuries. Your campsite is serviced by power and water.

Unpowered Sites:

Imagine waking up surrounded by trees, with the melodic sounds of native birds and the morning light seeping into your tent. This vision is exactly what you can expect when you stay on a Murphy’s Creek Escape unpowered site! These options aren’t serviced by power or water, which makes them an easy excuse to really disconnect from reality. We recommend unpowered sites for camper trailers, caravan, tents and swags, which means just about anyone can get involved!

Remote Sites:

Are you looking to really unplug and recharge? A remote site at Murphy’s Creek Escape is what you need! Overlooking the valley west of Murphy’s Creek Escape, when you stay at these sites, you are quite literally on top of the world. Our remote sites are not serviced by power and water, and can only be accessed with a 4Γ—4 vehicle. Getting camper trailers (even offroad) to these sites is difficult and not recommended.Β  The extra sense of adventure to reach the sites only adds to the fun!

Family or Group Sites:

Bring the wholeΒ family campingΒ and all your friends along and set up camp together! Our group sites cater for groups of 4 to 9 families, and are spread across a collection of level pads

Army Tents:

Do you want to head out camping, without the hassle of having to load the car up with supplies and set-up when you arrive? Our Army Tents are a unique army tube dorm that is ready to go! With timber floors, lighting, power, it’s like a home away from home!
