Since its inception, the iconic Floral Parade has captivated the community, with hundreds of volunteers, community groups, and local businesses dedicating innumerable hours to its success.
Every year, the entire town along with thousands of visitors gather to watch as street performers, carnival characters, and roving entertainers accompany the breathtaking floral floats on their journey through the city center to Queens Park.
For over two decades, Grand Central has proudly been the major sponsor of the Floral Parade, annually crafting the lead float that spearheads this vibrant procession.

Twilight Tours – Must Do!!
Weeknights, Friday 13th until Monday 30th September – 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Enter the twilight zone and discover the secret world of the parklands by night. This is your chance to see and hear from the experts about the darker side of plant life in a one-hour nocturnal tour of Laurel Bank.
Throw the spotlight on some shady characters from far off places like English and Spanish oaks, Gingko trees and Japanese maples. Track down exotic and rare species and find out what goes on behind the scenes to create our picture-perfect park. The tour meets near the Info Hub at Laurel Bank at 5:30pm.

Family Events

Camping at Murphys Creek Escape for the Carnival of Flowers (13 Sept to 7 Oct)
If you are looking for affordable accommodation nearby the Carnival of Flowers then Murphys Creek Escape is only a 28 min drive up the highway. It makes for a really cool camping experience with the ability to visit any of the Carnival of Flower events that you want. There is plenty of room to accommodate all campers and vehicle types from caravans, RV’s, Off-Road Vehicles, normal cars, standard off-road and plenty of wide access to the camp grounds. The campgrounds are family and pet-friendly so we ask that everyone is respectful of the other campers. There is also plenty of kids activities to keep them entertained while on-site.
