A gypsy wagon, also known as a vardo or a caravan, is a traditional form of transport used by Romani people. These colorful and beautifully decorated wagons have a rich history and are now often used for recreational purposes, such as bush camping.

Camping in a gypsy wagon offers a unique and exciting way to experience the great outdoors.

  • Table and chairs inside the wagon
  • Bar Fridge
  • Kettle
  • Toaster
  • Mini oven/Air Fryer
  • Gas cooker
  • Mattress protectors
  • Tea towels
  • Cutlery (including sharp knives)
  • 4x bowls, plates, cups, tumblers
  • Salad bowl
  • Cutting boards
  • Gazebo
  • Broom/dustpan
  • Outside table and stools
  • Pots/frying pan
  • Double bed
  • 2 single bunk beds (150cms long) – there is room on the floor for an additional single blow up mattress or single camping mattress (not supplied)

 

We recommend you bring:

  • Sheets/bedding
  • Camp chairs
  • Additional lighting (there is an electric light inside the gypsy wagon)

Please note any electric appliances will not work on an unpowered site.

Cost: $200 per booking minimum (whether one or two nights) and $100/night for third and subsequent nights.  It is mobile and can be placed on any of our sites.

 

To make the most of your gypsy wagon camping experience, we recommend bringing plenty of warm clothing and bedding, as well as any necessary cooking and camping gear. You should also plan your meals in advance and bring enough food and water for the duration of your trip.
