As the last of the autumn leaves fall and winter gently rolls in, the Lockyer Valley is entering one of its most beautiful camping seasons.

At Murphys Creek Escape, late May and early June bring clear days, cool nights and a whole new kind of magic to the bush. If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to unplug and explore, this is it. Let’s take a look at why we think this might just be the best time of year to visit.

Cosy campfires, cool nights and sunny days

There’s something special about this time of year in the Scenic Rim. The sun is still shining, the air is dry and cool, and the campfire smoke lingers just a little longer on the breeze. As you hike through golden light and huddle up to your campfire each night, you’ll see exactly why this season infuses the valley with so much charm.
